Goal: Find your authentic style + know WHAT kind of fashion artist you want to be + know HOW you want to work
You’ve done your work, you’ve learned a lot, and you feel confident about your skills but not about your style.
And you know you want to work in fashion and build your business, but don’t have any idea about what kind of fashion artist you want to be nor what kind of business you want to build.
So, during this phase, your focus should be ON YOURSELF because your authentic style is already within you. And you’re the only one who can determine and decide what kind of fashion artist you’ll become, and how you want to work.
This phase is for you to get to know yourself deeply, so you see + realize what’s important to you, what will make you happy, and what makes you who you are + your work special 🙂
Your milestones are
- Determine HOW you want to work. Alone? In a team? From your home? From your studio? As a freelancer? As a maker? Follow your HEART
- Discover your authentic style —> with the help of the following points
- Dig into your personality. What makes you YOU?
- Find your visual vocabulary
- Explore with inspiration
- Experiment with emotion in your work
- Find your drawing style
- Venture into color
- Work with texture
- Study composition
- Put it all together
- Explore with different points of view during each step
- Create + create + create. The only way to find your truest authentic style is by creating + assessing
- Evaluate your levels of confidence. How confident do you feel about your style? Are you ready to move on?
